1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Kyosk, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service. Kyosk is a marketplace platform that connects independent artisans with employers in Nigeria.

2. Marketplace Platform

Kyosk facilitates the discovery and hiring of artisans but is not an employer of the artisans. Artisans are independent professionals. While we perform identity verification, we do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of the services provided by artisans.

3. Escrow and Payments

To ensure security for both parties:

  • Employers must fund a job into our secure Escrow system before work begins.
  • Funds are held by Kyosk and only released to the artisan upon completion of the job and approval by the employer.
  • If a dispute arises, the funds will be held until the dispute is resolved through our mediation process.
  • Kyosk charges a service fee on transactions, which is clearly disclosed during the hiring process.

4. Artisan Obligations

Artisans using Kyosk agree to:

  • Provide accurate professional information and valid government ID.
  • Perform work professionally and within the agreed timelines.
  • Maintain a high reliability score (completion rate).
  • Handle all tax obligations related to their earnings independently.

5. User Conduct

Users are prohibited from using the platform for illegal purposes, harassing other users, or attempting to circumvent the Kyosk payment system (paying "offline" to avoid fees and escrow protection). Circumventing the platform may result in immediate suspension.

6. Dispute Resolution

In case of conflict, we encourage parties to resolve it through our in-app chat. If resolution fails, you may request Kyosk mediation. Decisions made by our mediation team regarding escrow release are final and binding within the platform.

7. Limitation of Liability

Kyosk shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services or the actions of any users on the platform.

8. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and defined in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
